About the Event
Compassionate Integrity Training (CIT) is a resiliency-informed program that cultivates human values as skills, so we can thrive as individuals, and a society, within a healthy environment. By learning skills to calm our bodies and mind, becoming more emotionally aware, learning to practice compassion for ourselves and others, as well as engaging with compassion in complex systems, we can build toward compassionate integrity, which is the ability to live one's life in accordance with one's values with a recognition of common humanity, our basic orientation to kindness and reciprocity.
CIT is divided into three series designed to improve your individual wellbeing, relationships with others, and engagement with the world by increasing your ability to practice the following skills:
Series I: Self-Cultivation
- Calming Body and Mind
- Ethical Mindfulness
- Emotional Awareness
Series II: Relating to Others
- Impartiality and Common Humanity
- Forgiveness and Gratitude
- Empathic Concern
Series III: Engaging in Systems
- Appreciating Interdependence
- Engaging with Discernment
The CIT Cohorts will meet once a week for eleven (11) sessions. To learn more, visit the Compassionate Integrity website https://www.compassionateintegrity.org/cit-facilitator-profiles/.
While our cohorts are normally facilitated face-to-face, due to Covid-19 restrictions this cohort will be virtual. If the restrictions are lifted, we may discuss facilitating some outdoor sessions.
Each session of the Compassionate Integrity Training builds upon the previous one. To get the most benefit from the program, it is advisable to attend all sessions. However, we understand that sometimes life circumstances may lead to a missed session.
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, no more than two (2) sessions may be missed.
The fee is $250 per person for eleven (11) group sessions. The fee must be paid prior to the first session.
A participant must request a refund in writing. The deadline for refunds is as follows: Fifteen (15) or more days prior to the event, a full refund less a 10% processing fee; fourteen (14) to five (5) days prior to the event, a full refund less a 20% processing fee; and four (4) days prior to the event to the day of the event, no refunds.
